What if I have an idea for a workshop?

  • Talk to us and share your ideas. We'll do our best to find a Guest Speaker. (If we can find 3-5 other people who share your interest, we'll run a workshop.)
  • If you know of a possible Guest Speaker, please suggest him/her to Randy Fisher and he'll get in touch with him/her to get things going!

Networking Events - FAQs

Please NOTE Recent Changes:

  • Start Time: Nosh n' Network runs from 8-9:30 am. (You may mix n' mingle after the formal event is over.)
  • Price Drop: Advance Registration: $8; At the door: $10 (GST included)
  • 5-second Introductions (5 secs each): After the Speaker/Q&A session, we will go around the tables so that people can introduce themselves - consisting of your name, profession and organization.

  • Ambrozia Restaurant - 911 Denman, 2nd Floor (wheelchair-accessible)

  • Free Parking in the neighbourhood ~ Beware of those For Residents Only parking signs; to save yourself aggravation and a possible parking ticket, you can park at the West End Community Centre for $3. Entrance off Haro.

What do I do at the event?

  • Invite your Colleagues OR someone you want to meet.

  • Eat a continental breakfast - croissants, muffins, juice and coffee

  • It starts and ends on time ~ 1.5 hours - 8 AM -9:30 am (Note: You may stay later to mix n' Mingle!
  • Personal & Informal: Speaker talks about his / her business success - and the connection to / importance of Jewish values
  • No PowerPoints!

How much is it?

  • $8 in advance / $10 at the door - GST included.
  • We accept Online Registration.
  • For those who are on a limited budget, please get in touch with the Jewish Community's Tickets to Inclusion" program.
